About Us
Belvedere School first opened in 1924. Major renovations took place in 1946, 1950 and 1957. With the passage of a Bond issue by voters, Belvedere was able to embark on a total renovation and addition to our school. Construction began in 2000 and was completed for the beginning of the 2002-2003 school year. The enrollment is currently 480 students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through Fifth grade. Belvedere is a neighborhood school, drawing its student population from the surrounding neighborhood. Our student population is predominantly African American. A majority of our students participate in the free or reduced price lunch program. We generally serve over 300 students breakfast each morning.
