Health and Safety Newsletter
1/27/21
When it comes to our commitment to the health and safety of our students and staff, there are many shining examples districtwide. During this week's snow, our District Operations team braved the elements to clear more than 10 million square feet of sidewalks, driveways and parking lots. To assist with this massive task, the entire operations crew helps with snow removal. Over 400 members of the OPS cleaning staff, food and mail delivery drivers and more all help the grounds crew by grabbing shovels and snowblowers. They start in the early morning and continue to maintain walkways and driveways at schools throughout the day. Once snow removal is complete, staff then return to their regular shift.
We are deeply thankful for the dedication of our staff. In a year of uncertainty, we are fortunate to have a team that exhibits such care to serve our students.

The Remote Learning Program will continue to be available for families who feel it is best at this time. If you would like to change how your student is learning, whether it is in person or through the Remote Learning Program, please contact your student’s school.
As we continue through the second semester, schools or classrooms may need to temporarily shift to remote learning based on contact tracing in our schools or community conditions. Our focus is a responsible transition to serving students five days per week in person.
